My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Amaretto is a 2014 Registered cremello Tennessee Walker Mare. Very loving, engaged with people, and eager to learn. She has spent 45 days with a gaited trainer. The trainers notes are below.

She's a 2014 registered cremello Tennessee Walker with lovely gaits. She has a solid foundation on a flat walk and running walk under saddle, and shows a rocking horse canter on the lunge line. As she gets stronger she will easily canter under saddle in the future. She has a snuggly, in your pocket personality with good ground manners. She goes barefoot and does well for the farrier on her front feet, and gets better every day on her hind. She stands quietly for mounting and saddling. She loves being groomed and will lick you when you brush her mane. She is a stunner with 2 blue eyes and would do great at shows, on trails.... "
July 13 2017: Amaretto is doing extensive trail riding around the training farm's cross country course (NOT jumping, obviously!), and doing wonderfully. Loves to ride out alone, no drama at all. Also happy to go with others. Good solid forward energy, eager to go but not a speed demon. SOLID running walk, developing her gaiting, also has a clear trot and canter.

She LOVES people and is such a social butterfly! She would love any sort of a showing or trail career, perhaps a career as a lesson horse at an older age given how much she loves children and any sort of people's attention. She had a wonderful ground handling time in her life, very clearly, as she is so comfortable with humans and all we do.

Amaretto has now had 45 days at the professional trainer and has a VERY nice start under saddle. She is available to an upper intermediate rider or above, with a clear understanding that she still needs work in properly maintaining her gaits. Her adoption fee as of today would be $2000 with a $150 discount if contracted by 11/30/17 and gone home before 12/30/17, and will increase as her training, time, feed and other expenses here increase.
