Kumquat's Story...
My name is Kumquat. I am a 4 month old black short hair neutered male. I have very pretty copper colored eyes. I am extremely friendly and love all of my foster family. I can be hesitant at first so I need a couple days to acclimate, but after that I get along great with the other cats, dogs and children. I love to play with all the other cats and then when we get tired we can all cuddle up together. I am a laid back cat who just likes to be around my human family and relax. I am up to date on my vaccinations and have already been neutered. Now I am just waiting for my forever family to fall in love with me and mind take me home!

If you are interested in meeting and thinking about adoption, please visit our website, http//www.wagginghearts.org, and submit a completed adoption application. Due to the high volume of applications we receive we are only able to process fully completed applications. All applications are processed in the order that they are received. On our website you will also find our adoption process and fees. Since we are a foster based rescue we are unable to set up meet and greets until a completed application is on file and has been approved.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kumquat, a Hainesville Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Hainesville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Hainesville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hainesville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hainesville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hainesville paves the way for another one to be saved.
