My name is Lilly and I am a 10 year old female Pomeranian who ended up in a local shelter when my family moved to a new place and the rules said they couldn't have dogs. Luckily for me the shelter reached out to my friends at NBS Animal Rescue to help me find my fur-ever home. I'm now living with a very nice foster mom who takes great care of me and is helping me find my perfect fur-ever home.
I am a senior gal, although, don't let my age fool you - Pomeranian's like myself have long life spans and I'm a spunky happy little lady! I love to snuggle on your lap, go for short walks, have my fur gently pet or brushed, and nap - naps are good! I get along well with other dogs who are friendly and low energy - I'm not much of a player so I would prefer a home that was quiet without a lot of commotion or another dog who was super playful. I know how to do my personal business outside and I am trustworthy in the house when you are at work - my foster mom say's I am truly a lady in all capacities! I'm currently living with two other canine friends and a feline friend too - I'm an easy going gal who gets along well with my housemates.
You might notice that I am very short hair on parts of my body, and am actually bald on other parts around my tail and back. My doggy vet says we will try to change my diet to make sure I'm on a good doggy kibble and some salmon oil to put some natural oils back into my skin. My fur might grow back, or it might not - we're not sure yet - but one thing is for sure - I'm a super sweet girl bald spot and all!
Do you know anyone who has asthma? My doggy doctor thinks that I have the canine version of doggy asthma as I have a hard time catching my breath and start coughing when I go outside in the cold weather, get too excited, or if you pull on my leash instead of using a harness when we walk together. I take a daily medication to help me keep my coughing to a minimum. Don't worry - I know what you're thinking....it's not expensive at all, and I am a champ at taking my medicine with a tasty treat - no worries!
I am really hoping that I can find a loving family who will take great care of me and give me lots of TLC. I am a great companion for someone who wants a beautiful, smart, and gentle dog who loves to snuggle and go for short walks.

While I hope that you have fallen in love with me and are ready to apply, I understand if I might not be the perfect pup for your family just yet. However, would you please help by sharing my picture on Facebook, twitter or by email? I'm a great pup and need a loving family to give all of my love and puppy kisses to! Thank-you for your help!
