Radar is a 1 year old. 70 pound Lab/Pit mix. He is energetic, playful, sweet and loving. Also very smart! His favorite activity is playing with other dogs (gets along with all-if they snap or growl at him he just waits it out or walks away), followed by tennis-ball retrieving, long walks, being petted and loved, and napping. He also loves to get in the pool. Not the least bit aggressive to people or other large dogs. He would do best without small dogs. Still sometimes shy of new people and can still be skittish when nervous. Loud noises scare him. Seems to be afraid of men but will warm up.
Loves to cuddle and be petted, brushed, etc. Rarely barks, except sometimes when he wants attention or is guarding his house. He is scared of crates and doesn't really need one since he is such a good boy being left out in the house. All in all the perfect dog, with the normal puppy tendencies. Why he was abandoned by his first family we will never understand. He needs lots of exercise as well
Needs a good forever home with a big, grassy yard to run in, at least one other dog about his size to play with, or older kids to play with. (He is very strong, so he may play too hard for smaller dogs or younger children). He is housebroken, but if stressed sometimes has “accidents” in the house, though rarely. Still chews so needs plenty of chew toys, etc. Loves the dog parks and definitely needs a way to run off energy every day, not just occasionally. He is not a candidate for apartment living, nor a home where he would be sitting a crate for hours every day or confined to a small area. Learns fast but can be obstinate, although training him to commands would probably be easy since he is smart and motivated by treats.
He comes with a baby sitter when you leave town!!!! The current foster!!!
