Winnie's Info...

I am already spayed, purebred, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Winnie's Story...
From a Wisconsin puppy mill closure, this sweet girl lived her entire life in a rabbit hutch with wire flooring...along with several of her other 'inmates'. There were 1,200 in all. Thankfully, we were able to rescue her and others from this tragic situation. Winnie is a beautiful tri-color girl who needs a lot of TLC. You see, puppy mill dogs are simply alive to breed for profit...not to be made part of a family or to learn to trust and love humans. She has fears to overcome, just like the others, but with the right person, she will become a fabulous companion. She is generally healthy, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped and spayed. Her adoption fee is $200. If you are interested in inviting Winnie into your life, please complete the on-line adoption application (

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Winnie, a Portland Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Portland, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
