My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

IDGSR WELCOMES TAMSEN INTO THE SAFETY OF THE RESCUE!!!

Tamsen's Story: Tamsen is a beautiful female GS/Dutch Shepherd mix who had a family at one time but for some bizarre reason the husband in the home decided the dogs were no longer welcome and no longer wanted in the house, so pushed them out the door to live in the elements, Tamsen and her little min pin brother were ill prepared to live outside in freezing temperatures. IDGSR stepped up to take this sweetheart and another rescue agreed to take her little brother since he was a small dog. We hate that they had to be separated but we had no choice since we had to act quickly and get them to safety. Since then we have gotten to know this pretty girl and she is an ever loving dollbaby. She can be a bit snarky with other female dogs so we will place her with a nice large male breed dog or she is just as content to have her persons all to herself. She is a well behaved and well mannered easy dog.

From her foster Mom:
What a great pup! She's learned to sit in just 1 1/2 days when going out/coming in so she can be leashed/unleashed. She understands commands/tone of voice and LOVES attention. She is house trained - no issues leaving her alone (loose in the house) while out. She's not destructive, nor did she go to the bathroom. She does not understand bones, treats, or toys really. Probably because she's never had any. That said, it makes her a very simple/easy dog to care for, but hopefully she learns the joy of these items in her forever home. She's a total sweetheart and deserves love and attention!
