Meet Pretty! This spicy lady rules the roost. Though Pretty isn't much of a snuggler, she could play for hours. When she's not raising havoc on her toys Pretty likes to lounge and watch her environment with mischievous eyes. This proud lady loves when you join her in games with her toys, but still appreciates her space. She is a confident cat that will show you her boundaries and needs that special home that appreciates her spunky attitude. Pretty would do well in a home with older children, she OK around other cats when given her space but we are unsure of how she would do with dogs. If Pretty sounds like the spunky lass for your house she would love if you came down to see her!

About Our Shelter...

See our website at www.spca.bc.ca/NorthCariboo for all of our current adoption prices, hours of operation, etc.

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
