Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Buddy, Puppy 48 pounds Richmond, VA

Hey there. I’m Buddy. I’m 7 months old and I survived being tied to a tree and abandoned during Hurricane Matthew in NC just a few months ago. I’m really happy to be here and can’t wait to find the forever person or family who will never leave me behind.
I’m sweet as can be but, as you can imagine, I didn’t get much training so I have a bit of catching up to do on house manners. My foster mom says I am really smart. I already know how to ‘sit’ and ‘give paw’ (and I love the treat I get when I do!). I’m also doing great with housebreaking and crate-training but I think that a puppy training class might be just what I need to grow into a well-behaved young dog.
I have ALOT of energy, which I use to chase tennis balls and play with my dog friends. I’m hoping my forever person or family will teach me how to play a proper game of fetch. I also probably need a fenced yard so I can run out all this energy I have.
Buddy is housebroken and crate trained and has a ton of energy!! He loves kids and would like nothing better than to have a few to run around with. Because he's so rambunctious, though, it's probably better if he goes to a family without young children. Buddy needs a family with previous dog experience that will make the time he needs to work with him, guide him and exercise him with long walks and playing fetch in the yard. He loves to fetch tennis balls, and sometimes he even brings them back!!
