Maria's Story...
Hi, my name is MARIA and I am a STUNNING 7 year old MAINE COON mix female. As you can see from my photo, my gray fur is FLUFFY and SHINY and SILKY to the touch. My paws, chest and face are white and I have sparkling GREEN eyes. But don’t be fooled by my BEAUTY. I’m also extremely SWEET and AFFECTIONATE and I like to be PICKED-UP. As a matter of fact, I’m FRIENDLY and OUTGOING too! So I guess you’re wondering how a nice girl like myself wound up homeless? My former owner became too ill to care for me and I was taken away and brought to the local shelter; a place definitely not up to my PRINCESS standards. But I don’t plan on being homeless for long. Do I seem a bit like a DIVA? Well maybe sometimes. That is why I would do best with an experienced cat person. Let’s arrange a meeting. I am spayed, UTD on shots, and FIV/FeLV negative.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maria, a Long Beach Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Long Beach, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in Long Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Long Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Long Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Long Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
