Joy's Story...
Joy is a doll!!! She is approximately a year old and weighs about 10 pounds. Joy is a sweet girl who loves to curl up with her human. Her human is most definitely her best friend! She does fine with other dogs, but doesn't play much with them. She has a lot of anxiety, so she would do best with someone who is home often. She isn't housebroken, but is working on it!

If you would like to add Joy to your family, please go to www.goofyfootrescue.org to complete an online adoption application. She is currently being fostered in west Tennessee. She will be transported once his adoption is finalized. Transport runs to the following cities: Harrisonburg, VA; Hagerstown, MD; Harrisburg, PA; Allentown, PA; Bedminster, NJ; Southington, CT; Willington, CT.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Joy, a Allentown Brussels Griffon/Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Brussels Griffon/Shih Tzu for sale in Allentown, or seeking a Brussels Griffon/Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Allentown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Allentown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Allentown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Brussels Griffon/Shih Tzu breeders who help with Brussels Griffon/Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Allentown paves the way for another one to be saved.
