Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Miss Gemma is a wonderful sweet loving, polite lady. .. She was rescued a couple of months ago from the San Jacinto shelter, a high kill shelter in S. Cal. where she was turned in as a "stray" and showed all the signs of a very neglected life of living outside on concrete with no regard to her health or welfare. She has obviously had multiple litters of puppies in her lifetime. She needed some serious medical attention after having major skin and ear infections, open wounds on her ears and a severe infection in her uterus. (most likely from overbreeding.) Her surgery a few weeks ago, took over 3 hours as it was very complicated. Despite this horrific life she led previously, she is still such a very precious loving and kind soul who wants to be your best friend. She is now spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and has been on medication to treat her ears and skin, and eyes due to that terrible neglect she has experienced in her previous situation. Gemma is healing so well now, and thriving on a very healthy diet with supplements. She loves absolutely everyone, and is very cat and dog friendly. Please contact us if you are interested in this nice lady who deserves to find her forever loving home where she can be cherished and pampered the rest of her life. Gemma definitely had a rough go of it in her first chapter of her life and we only will seek out the best home for her. She loves squeaky toys, is very happy to go for leashed walks, and is low energy. She is loyal, true to her gsd breed. She is great with small kids and very patient. She is about 7 or 8 yrs old, (although the stray intake paperwork says age 6) and weighs 80 lbs. Loves everyone. Please find it in your heart to open your home to Precious Gemma. Would be happiest in a home where she was not left alone for several hours a day as she is such a social girl who wants to be with you all the time.
Adoption fee is $250. Her foster home is in Federal Way.
