My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

TIGER is a strikingly beautiful cat. She is a long-haired tortie with gradations of dark brown, orange and cream, with tabby markings on her face and legs, and a big fluffy tail. She is about eleven years old and appears to be a well-cared-for family pet. She had lived with children, other cats and a dog. We do not know what crime she must have committed. She was dropped off at our vets’ office with instructions that she be “put down”. Excuse: “can’t care for any longer.” The vets sent her over to us.

Tiger is still a little scared, probably wondering what happened to her home. She will be a very nice kitty when she gets over being scared. She comes out to observe, then scurries back to her hidey-hole. We are letting her acclimate to her new surroundings at her own pace, and gain a little more confidence. She can be patted, but is not thrilled with being picked up by all these strangers.

Update: Tiger just had some extensive dental work for “resorptive lesions”, which may have been causing her pain. She seems to feel better now, more purring and more cuddling. Note that this is an expensive procedure that her adoptive parents will not have to deal with.

She appears to have never been fed canned food, and has no interest in it. She likes dry food and appreciates a variety of treats. Let’s find this deserving girl a new forever home with caring, loving people.
