My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Happy New Year! My name is Tilly. I'm a super sweet, gentle girl. I was so excited to leave the shelter but unsure what to expect after that. Boy, did I luck out! I live in a home with my foster mommy and two big four-legged foster brothers. They have been teaching me how great being a dog can actually be. We play with our toys and take naps together, and I follow them around the house. My mom says I’m a special girl with really nice manners. When it is time to eat, I run to my crate and wait patiently for her to bring me my food. I love to chill out on the couch, especially when I am wrapped in a warm, cozy blanket, and my favorite things are treats and sunshine. We have a big backyard with lots of comfy spots for soaking up rays, and when it’s sunny outside, I couldn't be happier. I am a sound sleeper at night; I keep my mom’s feet warm and don’t even move until the morning! Also, I’m not sure what this means, but my mom says I have the cutest underbite in the whole wide world. She says it will make anybody smile. So, 2017 is already going pretty well for me, and I love it here, but I can’t wait to find my forever family. Maybe it could be you?

All of our pets start their journey in Memphis Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted.

In order to qualify for ALIVE’s program all of the following steps must be met: • You must be at least 24 years of age and be able to provide ALIVE with proof of age. • Any current pets must be up to date on vaccinations, and be spayed/neutered. Exceptions to this will only be considered if proof of a medical explanation is provided. • If you currently rent, you must provide a landlord’s phone number and a copy of your executed lease. • All members of the family living in the home where the animal will be placed must be interviewed. • Allow an ALIVE Rescue Memphis representative into your home for a visit to insure that your home is safe for the potential new dog or cat. • Be able and willing to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment and proper care for a pet. •Currently, the requested donation to adopt a dog from ALIVE Rescue Memphis is $300.00. The $300.00 adoption fee includes transport to the Nashville area.

Our adoption application can be found at http://www.aliverescuememphis.org/adoptionapplication/

Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you submit an application immediately to start the adoption process. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, ALIVE Rescue Memphis is operated 100% by volunteers. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.

Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well educated decision from well qualified staff.
