Kimmie was rescued from a crowded shelter. She was neglected thin and matted. Kimmie was nervous at the shelter but once we took her out she warmed up and is fine. She is gentle friendly and great with other dogs. Update from foster home: She would love another dog at home but can be single dog if someone is around more and adult home. Teens ok. She is about 70% house-trained. Still learning. 1/13/17: Kimmie got her severe dental surgery & 17 extractions. Kimmie is now resting and will need week or two to recover and heal. She will feel much better soon after she detox from all the infections and bacteria that were in her rotten teeth. Update: She is now relaxing after her major dental & teeth extraction. Her major dental & vet care cost us (with vet discount): $1600.00 Donations great appreciated to help defray her vet care expenses.

About Furry Friends Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a non-profit, all volunteer organization dedicated to rescuing, fostering and finding homes for companion animals in the San Francisco Bay Area.

We need more foster homes so we can save more animals! Would you please consider opening your home to a loving companion animal so they can have a chance for a new life? See our Foster Home info page.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Come see us at one of our Pet Showcases. Our locations and schedule can be found on our showcase locations page.

Our Adoption Process...

We are very thorough in our adoption process. The details and costs can be found on our How to Adopt page. We expect the whole family to be involved in the process.

We believe our dogs and cats should be treated as family members for their entire lives. They deserve the best we can give them and we should never give up on them. Adoption is for life!
