Kelsey & Lindsay / F / 2 yrs / 30lbs / Shar Pei Mixes

Meet Kelsey! Kelsey and her sister Lindsay are a bonded pair in need of a home together. They were surrendered to our rescue because their family does not have the time or finances to invest in their care. These beautiful girls are medium energy, extremely affectionate and love to be with their people. Their favorite activities include playing with their stuffies, tug toys and wrestling with each other.

Kelsey and Lindsay are smart girls and know sit, stay, come, lie down, respond to a whistle, and are very capable of learning more commands. Both girls are house completely trained (but not crate trained), and need some work on basic leash manners as they like to pull and will run if given the opportunity.

Kelsey is very quiet and rarely barks. Lindsay occasionally barks when someone is at the door, sees other dogs on a walk, or when she wants to play.

Although both Kelsey and Lindsay were dog friendly when adopted out earlier this year, lack of socialization has caused them to develop some sensitivities towards other dogs.

Their ideal home is one that is willing to work on re-socializing them, has a fenced yard, and no other animals.

Kelsey & Lindsay’s adoption fee is $500 (total).

About Fetch & Releash

About Our Rescue Group...

We at Fetch & Releash believe every dog deserves a second chance regardless of age, breed, background, health and/or behavioural issues. Through our network of volunteers, foster homes, trainers, and veterinarians, we work hard to find our dogs the loving forever home they deserve.

Fetch & Releash was established in 2016 with a mission of saving homeless dogs. We are 100% volunteer run.

Our dogs come from a variety of different situations and locations such as pounds/shelters, strays, and surrendered pets - both locally and abroad. We provide our dogs with the best care and a chance to find their forever homes by placing them with loving and caring volunteer foster parents. In order to prevent further over-population, all pets are spayed or neutered, age and health permitting.

As a completely volunteer-based organization, we are only able to find our pets their forever homes with the help of our volunteers and donors. Visit fetchandreleash.ca to learn more about volunteering, fostering or donating.

Our Adoption Process...

To adopt one of our dogs, please fill out an application at fetchandreleash.ca. Although we do our best to reply to all inquiries within 48 hours, please remember we are a 100% volunteer based organization, and many of us have full time jobs outside of rescue. We appreciate your patience.

Once your application has been received, a Fetch & Releash volunteer will contact you to set up a time to speak over the phone. The phone call usually takes about 30-45 minutes. Our priority is to ensure the fit is right for both you and the dog, so ask as many questions as you would like! After the phone interview, we will reach out to your personal and veterinarian references (if applicable), and your landlord (if applicable).

If we determine that you are a potential fit for the dog you applied for, you will then be granted a private meet and greet with the dog. If after the meet and greet, you would like to proceed with adoption, a Fetch & Releash volunteer will then contact you to arrange a home visit.

The adoption committee will then review your completed application and make a final decision.

The adoption fees for our dogs are as follows:

- A puppy 12 months of age and younger is $600.
