Missy is a gentle soul looking for a quiet home. She is fully grown at the perfect size of 25 lbs. Missy was originally turned into the SPCA after being thrown out of a car in Oakland (thankfully rescued by a good samaritan). Both of her top canine teeth had to be removed due to damage from the impact of hitting the pavement. She is, however, quite enthusiastic about her meals and will hop up to 3 feet in the air until her bowl is placed in her crate for meal time. Missy is being fostered with other female dogs and enjoys running the yard with the other girls chasing her. She also enjoys typical beagle activities like following a good scent and an occasional light dig in the yard. Because beagles tend to follow their nose, a secure yard is a necessity for this breed with no off leash activities unless in a fenced area. Missy would do well with children over 10 years of age. She can be shy with men and strangers but she warms up quickly once she feels comfortable. This dog is being fostered in Hayward, CA and is available by appointment only.
