My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dooley was found as a stray out in a wooded area and turned into us for safe keeping. He did not have a collar, ID tag or microchip. We spent weeks attempting to find his owner but no one came forward.

Dooley is a purebred black and tan hound approximately 6 months. He is a fun boy who loves to play with any age dog. He is learning basic commands and is now crate trained and potty trained. Dooley will continue to need training and we suggest that he and his new family enroll in training classes. Training classes teach the owner how to teach the dog and promote bonding between the two.

Dooley will be a very large dog at maturity -- approximately 70 lbs or more. He seems to grow more every day and LOVES to eat! Being a hound, he has a voice and will use it. Thus his adopter should be experienced hound people with understanding neighbors. Adopters who currently live in an apartment will NOT be considered.

Dooley is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. Our adoption process includes an application, home visit, meet and greet with the family and other four legged residents. His adoption fee is $450.
