Hi Everybody,
My name is Abe, and I'm one lucky guy to be rescued from the Clackamas County Dog Control Shelter. I'm about 2.5 years old, house, leash, crate, and kennel trained. I love to play with my foster sister, another young German Shepherd (I do prefer the girls.) I also love people; men, women and children. I'm not super fond of small dogs but might do okay with slow introductions. I need a forever home with a forever family of my own. My adoption fee is $350. I’m currently living in Portland, OR. I’m a big guy, already neutered, and I come with all my shots and my brand new dog bed. If you’re looking for a fun, loyal companion, well then, I’m you’re boy! Please email us and an application will be sent to you. (Adoptions are not based on first come first serve, but rather what’s the best fit for the new family and adoptive dog.)

About Great Northwest German Shepherd Rescue of Oregon

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a newly formed 501 c 3, nonprofit German Shepherd Rescue organization based out of Lake Oswego, OR. We save German Shepherds from being destroyed at high-kill shelters in SoCal, transport them to the Northwest, and try to place them in local foster homes while they await their adoption and forever homes.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Most dogs are either in foster homes or private kennel care. If an interested party wishes to meet the dog that is available for adoption, the foster or Rescue representative can bring the dog to the potential adopter's home or neutral meeting location of choice. No dogs are at a public kennel for viewing.

Our Adoption Process...

Our tax-deductible adoption fee is dependent upon the dog available for adoption, usually ranging from $295 to $450, depending primarily on the dog's age and past training. We have an adoption questionnaire for each applicant to fill out as well as an adoption contract for successful dog/owner matches. Adopters preferably will have a fenced area for the dog to play in and be able to spend a great deal of time with their new German Shepherd.
