My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

HI I'm Eliza. I'm a sweet little lady with the best stand up ears that have ever been put on a dogs head. My foster home consists of two small senior dogs, a playful medium sized pup and a sweet married couple. I get along great with all my canine and human foster friends. I'm gentle and mindful of the older dogs in the house and me and Sassy (the fun pup) play in the back yard as much as we can. My foster mom loves how sweet and affectionate my personality is. I'm playful but I also love to snuggle on the couch and watch a movie with my foster parents. I go into my kennel before my foster parents go to work, and I'm completely comfortable hanging out in there with my kong toy filled with treats. I also let my mom know when it's my time to go outside and I don't have accidents in the house. I love the weekends because that is adventure time and my foster mom brings me to the dog store, adoption events, and we run errands together. I ride great alongside her in the car. I'm loving my life in my foster home but I'm super pumped to find my forever family.

All of our pets start their journey in Memphis Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted.

In order to qualify for ALIVE’s program all of the following steps must be met: • You must be at least 24 years of age and be able to provide ALIVE with proof of age. • Any current pets must be up to date on vaccinations, and be spayed/neutered. Exceptions to this will only be considered if proof of a medical explanation is provided. • If you currently rent, you must provide a landlord’s phone number and a copy of your executed lease. • All members of the family living in the home where the animal will be placed must be interviewed. • Allow an ALIVE Rescue Memphis representative into your home for a visit to insure that your home is safe for the potential new dog or cat. • Be able and willing to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment and proper care for a pet. • Currently, the requested donation to adopt a dog over 4 months of age is $250.00, a dog under 4 months of age is $275.00 and a cat is $150.00. •

Our adoption application can be found at http://www.aliverescuememphis.org/adoptionapplication/

Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you submit an application immediately to start the adoption process. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, ALIVE Rescue Memphis is operated 100% by volunteers. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.

Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well educated decision from well qualified staff.
