I Was Hit With A Magic Wand!
King was born about February 25, 2015 and weighs about 65 lbs. We received a local call about a Golden Retriever not doing well with the day care kids in the home and he needed to go. Since one of us were heading for town we were there in a jiffy. We were doing the paperwork and found out he's good with other dogs, house trained, does great in a car and is comfortable in a crate. He loves toys, chew toys and chasing balls. They also said he likes to play tug, but that is just not a good idea with most dogs and not good for the bully breeds especially if the human let's the dog win, please don't play tug with him - it could be the reason he ended up here. They did say he is fine with children 10 and up and he's been great in our pack. So, what do you get when you hit a Golden Retriever with a magic wand? A chocolate Pit Bull - of course!!! King wiggled his way to me and happily hoped in the car with my other two dogs who came along for a ride. Anyway, he is a good boy and is a slimmer built than a Pit and more like a Lab. His fur is also more the length of a Lab. King didn't come from the best part of town and is looking forward to a more stable home in his future. He is a good boy that is deserving! Most of his paperwork says Lab mix. We've found that he has too much interest in cats to live with any. Oh, he is said to LOVE water! The Adoption Fee for this dog is $250.00.
Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.
Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility.
YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES
We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. If a pet is still showing, it is still available for adoption.
Our primary goals here at Joyful Rescues are to re-home pets and save them from becoming homeless in the future, educate the public on pet care and spaying/neutering to control the pet overpopulation, to spay/neuter every pet before they leave us and spay/neuter as many pets, belonging to the public, as possible within our means.
