Hi there, my name is Coconut. I'm a young girl with a huge personality and gorgeous blue eyes. I live in a foster home full of other dogs. I have two small senior canine friends who I'm really gentle with, and a fun young boxer pup that I love to romp around with. I love to play but I'm also content hanging out on the couch on movie night. My foster mom and dad constantly brag about my sweet personality and my quickness to learn new things. I learned how to sit in the first day in my foster home! I go into my crate without any fuss and I'm great about letting my foster parents know when its time to go outside. I love our walks around the neighborhood and I love going for car rides. I have one small thing that makes me different than other dogs, I'm partially deaf. That does not stop me in the least bit from having a wonderful life and it's a small thing that my foster parents say they rarely even notice. I'm patiently waiting for my forever home to come along and when they do I know we will have plenty of snuggle fests together.
All of our pets start their journey in Memphis Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted.
In order to qualify for ALIVE’s program all of the following steps must be met: • You must be at least 24 years of age and be able to provide ALIVE with proof of age. • Any current pets must be up to date on vaccinations, and be spayed/neutered. Exceptions to this will only be considered if proof of a medical explanation is provided. • If you currently rent, you must provide a landlord’s phone number and a copy of your executed lease. • All members of the family living in the home where the animal will be placed must be interviewed. • Allow an ALIVE Rescue Memphis representative into your home for a visit to insure that your home is safe for the potential new dog or cat. • Be able and willing to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment and proper care for a pet. • Currently, the requested donation to adopt a dog over 4 months of age is $450.00. The $450.00 adoption fee includes transport to the Chicago area.

Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you submit an application immediately to start the adoption process. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, ALIVE Rescue Memphis is operated 100% by volunteers. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well educated decision from well qualified staff.
