Bambi's Story...
Meet Bambi! Bambi is around a year and a half old and was found as a stray. Now, she is safe with DHA. This girly loves making silly faces, racing around our exercise fields and chasing after toys. She adores attention and will even ask for it by patting at your leg. When she is taken out of her run for walks, she has a hard time getting moving because she just wants you to love on her! We could totally see her being a superior snuggler. We are not yet sure how she is with other dogs, cats or kids. Won't you come meet this goofy girl and see if she's just what you're looking for?

Bambi is available and able to have applications submitted once you've met. For more information, please give us a call at (302) 571-0111 or visit us at our center (701 A Street Wilmington, DE) Tuesday-Friday 12-7pm or Saturday & Sunday 12-5pm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bambi, a Wilmington Mixed Breed (Medium)/Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Mixed Breed (Medium)/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Wilmington, or seeking a Mixed Breed (Medium)/Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Wilmington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wilmington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wilmington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Mixed Breed (Medium)/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Mixed Breed (Medium)/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wilmington paves the way for another one to be saved.
