Put on a shrimp boil and turn up the zydeco. We've got a dog that will take you to the swamps of Louisiana - in your mind at least. The catahoula hound is the state dog of Louisiana. They are very loving and protective of family. Pepper is a handsome and sweet boy. He has the gorgeous catahoula leopard hound blue merle coloring. He's a little shy and will sit on demand. Pepper is 4 years old and weighs 59 pounds. Pepper came to the shelter on Dec. 31st as a lost dog. He is up to date with shots, now neutered, and will be micro-chipped when adopted. adoption. Pepper is in Run 808 and his ID is 591214. Sadly he has tested positive for heartworms, but with treatment should be good as new in no time. Please speak to your veterinarian regarding treatment options.
