Holly is an 11 1/2 pound Shih Tzu mix, approximately 7 years old. Her foster parents named her Holly because she came to our rescue during the holidays. She has beautiful blue eyes and a spikey hair-do. Holly is very timid and quiet and has never barked. Since she came into rescue and has been in her foster home, Holly is getting much more comfortable with her new surroundings each day. She sleeps next to her foster mom and foster sister at night, but prefers to sit on the couch most of the day. She is learning to walk on a leash and to go potty outside. Holly is a good eater and is content to watch what goes on with everyone in the family. She seems most comfortable around her foster sister dogs, but is learning to trust humans more. She likes being brushed and cared for, something she never had before.
Holly’s previous life was pretty tough and she was not given the love and attention she deserves. She had not ever been socialized with people, so she needs a family who can teach her news things and give her a lot of time and attention so she will feel safe and loved. Holly needs a quiet home where someone is home most of the day, has lots of patience, and can spend time with her so she can bond with her new family. She is learning new things every day and every small milestone she makes is very encouraging. Holly is not confined in a kennel and is fine to be left alone with her foster sisters. Please consider bringing Holly into your home!
Holly recently had a dental cleaning and was groomed. The groomer reports that Holly did very well with her grooming. She is healthy and is spayed, current on vaccinations, microchipped and on heartworm and flea/tick preventative. Her adoption fee is $220.00 plus $16.01 sales tax for a total of $236.01. Her foster mom and dad prefer that Holly find a permanent home within 50 miles of the Twin Cities and hope that her adopters will bring her to the annual Shih Tzu reunion held each September.
