Hazel and Holly are beautiful 6 year old English Bulldog mix sisters. They have lived their entire lives as breeding dogs in an Amish puppy mill. Their services were no longer needed and they were taken to the vet to be euthanized. Friendship with the help of a lot of other dog lovers stepped in and rescued them. Now they finally have a chance to see how wonderful a dog's life can really be. These poor girls know nothing about being a "regular" dog. They are not house trained, cannot walk on a leash and are very timid. Hazel and Holly do enjoy gentle human contact, probably something they never experienced before. They are slowly realizing their lives are changing for the better. Both are making wonderful progress each and everyday. They will need lots of patience, training and tender loving care. Most adopted puppy mill dogs turn out to be the best dogs many people ever adopt. With a little work, Holly and Hazel will be no different. HOLLY HAS BEEN ADOPTED. HAZEL IS STILL WAITING FOR A NEW HOME.

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.

All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are wormed, heartworm tested and spayed or neutered. Dogs 3 months and older are micro-chipped.
