Hope**Handicap**'s Story...
This little girl is just amazing!
She was born with a birth defect that left her unable to use her back legs. She had been living outside like this dragging her poor little body around in the dirt till we were able to rescue her. She is about 2 years old and only 35 pounds. She has an amazing soul and is so sweet. She loves dogs and even keeps up with playing with them. She also loves children as well. She is incontinent but her foster mom put diapers on her and she does great with them. When we got her she did have a UTI (which is cleared up now) but this MIGHT be something she struggles with her whole life due to not being able to empty her bladder regularly. We have also provided a wheelchair for her so she can enjoy getting around as normal as possible when she is up to it. She is a real gem and we know she is going to find the perfect home to love her life she deserves.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hope**Handicap**, a New Smyrna Beach Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in New Smyrna Beach, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in New Smyrna Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New Smyrna Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New Smyrna Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New Smyrna Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
