This little cutie is Uli and he came in as an absolute mess. He was emaciated, terrified, and it was clear that he was a victim of terrible breeding and/or a neglectful upbringing. We are in the dark about his past but his future is already looking bright. He is gaining weight slowly, coming out of his shell and learning just how wonderful people can be. We think Uli is about 1 year old but he could be younger and even though he has some odd physical traits, he is a healthy boy. He loves other dogs and when he is around them, his insecurities start to fade and he becomes playful. We think he would do best in a quiet, low-stress home with a family that has the patience to let him handle the world at his own pace...and he definitely needs a canine buddy! He gets along with males and females equally but he absolutely needs a more confident, playful dog to follow and bond with. Uli is still in a foster home, staying warm, fattening up and gaining confidence but he can be at the rescue in Fillmore, ca for meet and greets if previously requested.
