Pamela's Story...
Approx. birthdate: April 15, 2016. Meet Pamela! At about 8 months old, Pamela weighs about 7 lbs. She was rescued off the streets of Salinas, Puerto Rico. Pamela was found just wandering around looking for food, and no owner ever showed up to claim her. So her foster did all her medical work, and she was flown to Michigan to find her forever home! She is not your typical Chihuahua, meaning she will bond with more than one person in the household. Pamela loves other dogs and will bark at cats, but that is about it. She loves to go under the covers in her owners bed and cuddle up. She will bark at night if she hears someone coming into the house; other than that, Pamela is just a happy lap dog.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pamela, a Sterling Heights Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Sterling Heights, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Sterling Heights.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sterling Heights already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sterling Heights breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sterling Heights paves the way for another one to be saved.
