Drummer's Story...
Every holiday season we have puppies! Little ones that aren't what the kids really wanted or itty bitty ones that parents were quickly reminded they didn't want either. So, even when the holidays end, we continue to deck our halls...with puppies. It's a win win really. We get puppy time and they get homes! Forever homes this time.

Meet Little Drummer Boy. Drummer for short. His previous family brought him to a high kill shelter because he wasn't "fluffy" enough. True story. Even at 13 weeks and 11 lbs. what Drummer lacks in fluff, he makes up for in smarts and good looks. He's already mastered crate training and he's pretty darn good with housebreaking too. He loves to play, he loves to snuggle and that pink nose is perfect! Drummer is up to date on age appropriate vaccines, dewormed and microchipped. If you want to be one of our lucky families that is chosen to keep the joy of the holidays going, please complete an application at omdrescue.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Drummer, a Wethersfield Pit Bull Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Wethersfield, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier puppy from a breeder in Wethersfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wethersfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wethersfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wethersfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
