Meet the sweetest pittie mix you would ever want to share your couch with! Tee Tee has been waiting (and waiting, and waiting) since February of 2016 for her forever home to pick her. She is great with other dogs that really want to play and don't push her around (but she seems to like to play with boy dogs best). While she loves all people, she can be a little shy upon first meeting strangers, and needs a little time to warm up (then she's your best friend). For her human companion, she would really like a woman to lead her pack. Even though she enjoys the company of the men in her household, she bonds quicker with human females. She will lick all children she meets, and loves to try and get their attention and love! She has shown a little too much interest in kitty cats, and wants to chase, so a home without feline friends is best.

Tee is house trained and crate trained, and also dog-door trained. She does prefer just to be loose in the house where she can curl up on a dog bed or on the couch with a blanket, but on sunny, warm days, she can be found outside sunbathing (fenced in yard would be on her wish list). She has a tendency to want to chew on plastic toys and sometimes paperback books if they fall into the floor, so some minor "puppy proofing" is still recommended. She enjoys chewing on nylabones and rawhides, and playing with squeaky toys, although she's not much on retrieving. She has minor food aggression tendencies around other dogs, so she'll just need a separate feeding spot away from others to be comfortable.

Tee Tee started her life with rescue as a "saved" dog from a local shelter, where she had been turned in due to neglect. She was suffering from severe demodectic mange, and the shelter needed her out for space. Our rescue took Tee Tee in, nursed her back to health, and got her ready for adoption!

Tee is spayed, heartworm negative, up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped, and up-to-date on monthly preventatives. We estimate her DOB to be around 05/01/2015, and she is around 45 pounds. She is in foster care in East Tennessee. Her adoption fee is $375, which includes all vetting and transport.

About Pooches & Purrs Cooperative - Hagerstown

About Our Rescue Group...

Pooches & Purrs Cooperative is a group of rescues and individual rescuers that are working hard to find loving homes for the dogs, cats, kittens and puppies that find their way into our care through no fault of their own. Each individual or group has several wonderful dogs In Tennessee, Alabama or Kentucky looking for homes! All of them are completely vetted and neutered/spayed (if age appropriate) and on heartworm protection. All of them come with complete medical records. Their adoption fee of $500 covers their complete age appropriate vetting and heartworm preventative as well as their transportation to your area.
Our rescues don't have an actual shelter building in the New England area. Due to this it is not always possible to meet them prior to their adoption. At times, a dog may be in foster care in New England and their bio will clearly be marked as such so you will know. These southern dogs & cats are brought up to their new owners weekly! We have a 14 day money back guarantee and the pet can be rehomed appropriately if things don't work out. Each group tries hard to get good matches in your homes so that everyone has a happy life together! To date the cooperative has placed over a two thousand dogs and puppies, cats and kittens in loving New England homes! Each group has many, many, references of happy adopters up in your area that can fill you in on their experience. Just email and they can pass along that information for your convenience. Thanks!
