Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Bruce! He's a special boy looking for a special home.
Bruce is a 2-3 year old, 100 pound, full blooded, yellow Lab. He is a major couch potato and he loves everyone he meets. We don't think Bruce has a mean bone in his body. Bruce was found foraging on the side of the road in rural Ohio. He was posted for free on Craigslist days before he was found, so it's pretty safe to say he was dumped. When we took him to the vet for his checkup, we got some pretty bad news about him: he tested positive for heartworm, Lyme disease, and E Canis. None of these are contagious to other animals directly; Heartworm is spread by mosquitoes and Lyme disease by ticks. He was COVERED in ticks when we found him unfortunately. The heartworm and lyme disease are being treated, however the vet also found that he has a lifelong eye condition which cause him to require eye drops.
We really hope all of this won't discourage you from adopting Bruce, because honestly, all of these things could not have happened to a nicer dog. He is AWESOME. He's extremely laid back, just wants a couch to call his own. If you're interested in Bruce, please contact us at www.franciskennels.com
