Shay's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Shay's Story...
Shay is a very special girl who will need a very special human.

Shay came to us from a puppy mill and has lived her life having one litter after another with little no real human interaction. She makes progress everyday but she is shy and can be scared of new or chaotic situations and is just learning to be a normal dog again. She has no meanness or aggression her.

Shay is fine around other dogs and cats but does appear to really want to "play" a lot.

We are certain that with some patients and understanding Shay can become an amazing companion.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shay, a Ridgway Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Ridgway, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Ridgway.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ridgway already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ridgway breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ridgway paves the way for another one to be saved.
