Wilma's Info...

I am purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Wilma's Story...
Our puppies are 7 week old Walker Hounds looking for their new forever families! They will be big dogs and will need families with enough energy and time for a baby! These guys are so sweet and curious. Their new families will need to teach them all about being well-behaved big dogs- housetraining, manners, and social skills! Like any good puppies they love to play, play, play and then cuddle up for a nap.

The babies are up to date on age appropriate vaccines, been dewormed, vetted, and microchipped. They will need monthly vet visits to continue their puppy shots until they are of age. They will need to be spayed/neutered by 6 months of age.

If you are interested in meeting Wilma or one of her siblings, please fill out an application at heartsforhoundsrescue.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wilma, a Virginia Beach Treeing Walker Coonhound puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Treeing Walker Coonhound for sale in Virginia Beach, or seeking a Treeing Walker Coonhound puppy from a breeder in Virginia Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Virginia Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Virginia Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Treeing Walker Coonhound breeders who help with Treeing Walker Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Virginia Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
