Opal's Story...
Opal is a 2 year old  Boston Terrier /Pit Bull Mix who weighs approximately 30 lbs.  Opal came to rescue pregnant after her previous family drop her off at Animal Control when they found out she was pregnant.  Per our vet, Opal's previously family burned the back of her skin when they made their own flea and tick medicine, we have posted a picture so you can see the damage.  She has healed from this, but just like other chemical burns the scar will remain with her for the rest of her life.  Opal loves her crate, she actually uses it to take a break.  She enjoys playing with the other dogs at the fosters home, in addition to just hanging out with her foster family and watching some TV.  Opal is crate and potty trained.

Opal's adoption fee is $200.00 which includes all vaccinations, spay, microchip and 1 month of heartworm preventative. If you are interested, please complete the   Adoption Application  on our website at  www.a4apetpantry.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Opal, a Hillsboro Boston Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boston Terrier for sale in Hillsboro, or seeking a Boston Terrier dog from a breeder in Hillsboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hillsboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hillsboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boston Terrier breeders who help with Boston Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hillsboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
