My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Date of Birth: January 2013

While she may be shy at first and loves to explore all of your home's hidden nooks and crannies, Polly is a loving and affectionate girl who loves being pet. And lest you think her ungrateful, she is always ready to give a lick or several in thanks for your affection!

Polly loves toys, particularly anything with feathers and anything attached to a string (or in an ideal world, both). She is playful and energetic, but careful not to bite or scratch. Although she doesn't like loud noises or too many people around her all at once, the longer she is in a particular place the better she adapts. Once she feels safe around you, she will snuggle up behind you on the back of the couch, rubbing your head from time to time so you don't forget she's still there.
Polly's tongue is constantly out, giving her an adorable expression. She loves to eat, and likes drinking her water out of cups. Once she finds a spot in your house that she likes and where she feels safe, like under a table or bed, she will treat it as her home base, venturing out for food, cuddles and play.
Polly came to TCR as a stray. There was a hoarding situation near where she was found, which may help explain her love for small spaces.
Special note from my foster family:: Polly may take a little while to acclimatize to your home, but she is a sweet girl and you will be well-rewarded for your patience. She may do better in a home with only a few people or in a place where she can be gradually introduced to all of the members of the household.
