Are you a friendly person who's looking for a great companion? Chuckles had a rough life but he has a heart of gold and wants to be loved by someone who likes big, goofy breeds! This short & stout boy is all about belly rubs, back scratches, hugs, and kisses! He may be mature but he still has a lot of pep and vitality because he likes to wander the backyard and we've taken him on many long walks, even jogs! However, we think he'd rather enjoy being indoors with companionship the most. He has been and can be crated when needed. Chuckles would be perfect for a quiet, mature-minded home as your only dog and best friend. Sorry, cats are not recommended.
HISTORY:
Chuckles ended up at the kill-shelter after a life of neglect. He was abused with collars so embedded in his neck that they had to be removed and treated by a vet. He gets scared when humans exhibit aggressive, tense, or angry behavior. When we rescued Chuckles he was drastically underweight, heartworm positive, had dental issues, and was certain to be destroyed. We had him examined and treated by our hospital veterinarians and our excellent fosters have been providing great care, nutrition, and interaction daily.
