Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We rescued Ashley and who we think is her sister Kassie from a local high kill shelter. They are approx. 2 yrs old and Ashley is is approx 17 lbs. Her sister Kassie is 25 lbs. Both are precious dogs. It would be great if they could be adopted together as they really seem to love each other and where one goes, so does the other. They are very sweet dogs, very well behaved, and they love to run and play. They seem to be quite well house and leash trained. Kassie looks like she may have some Westie in her. She is cream colored and Ashley has some really interesting markings on her ears, not sure what her mix is. They may have some Tibetan terrier in them or some other type of terrier. Both are just great dogs.
The total adoption donation of $75o for the pair and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. Some of our dogs are still in Texas in foster care. The application is online at http://houstonshaggydogrescue.org/application-process/
Just as a note, if you are in Massachusetts and are adopting directly from Texas rather than from a local foster, there are new quarantine laws in effect. All rescues must be quarantined 48 hours at a state run facility, and in addition, a second interstate health certificate is required to be issued by a Massachusetts vet. This new law may add an additional cost.
