My name is Hissyphysus, I am 3 months old as of January 2017. If interested email, lldeef@yahoo.com. I am writing a little bit of our story for my sister, Sissyphysus, and I. She is still a bit shy but getting braver every single day, so by the time you read this she should be able to add a little to it for herself.

The first part of our lives was really hard, but I didn’t know that then. My mom had kittens but we all lived sort of outside and sort of in an abandoned building. There were other cats and dogs too and once we stopped getting all our food from mom there was not always enough to eat. She brought me and some brothers and sisters to a place where there was some old mattresses to hide in to help us keep warm and where some nice people came sometimes and brought food for cats. There was a parking lot and cars, and dogs who did not have homes who chased us, and a dumpster, it was dangerous. Momma did not stay with us because we needed to grow up, I don’t know for sure where she went, maybe she got lost, or hurt.

Sissy and I made a plan. when she was asleep I would watch, and she would watch for me when I slept. Our other brothers and sisters disappeared, I think bad things happened. The nice people who fed cats kept talking to us. They said words like help for you, rescue, Spay, Neuter, family, love. Facebook , asking for help, TNR .

We replied Hungry, cold, chicken, tuna, water. We started to go close to them when they brought food the nice lady got us to feel trusting to her. Then a man came and he caught us. We were afraid, we went to a house, with walls and doors and windows, and heat, lights, people and other cats.

The cats said it was a foster home, some lived there forever, but some were like us and never had “homes” just places we lived. For the first few days we stuck to the plan one watched , one slept, but we saw the other cats just slept whenever they wanted, and liked being touched and petted. Food and water and warm were always there so we slept and slept and slept. It was wonderful to curl up together. There is something called a litter pan, people get crazy excited when you know what it is for and use it the first day. We got all kinds of stuff done to us and the “foster mom” said we were healthy and beautiful and in a week we got to come out of our private space and run and play in the whole house with all the cats. We found out about “toys” , and the big dog here does not chase us, we like her, she touches us with her nose. The foster mom holds us and we purr, she gives us special little bits of extra good things to eat, if we climb up in her lap to sleep she is very happy. Life is so nice now.

Today we had our picture taken and now we are to hunt for something called a ” forever home”. This is where we will have people who we meet who we choose, who choose us and we will then go live in their house with their family for the rest of our lives. We will be loved and cherished and cared for. Protected and not be outside where it is dangerous. In return we will offer unconditional love, hours of entertainment, comfort when you are sad, companionship and the pleasure of living with a breathing work of art!. We want a Home with a person who loves us and a lap that we can curl up in when we are tired. We would like to stay together if we can but understand if you only have room for one.

All cats have been spayed or neutered, microchipped, FIV/FeLV tested, are current on shots, flea treated, and dewormed. An adoption fee applies. Ask about our foster-to-adopt program.
