Piper's Story...
Piper is a young, friendly medium size dog looking for a second chance. Piper was found running as a stray in the fall of 2016. After an extensive search, no owners were found. The couple who found her temporarily fostered Piper, however, they were unable to keep Piper long term. Piper gets along with dogs her size and larger and temporarily lived with cats as well. Piper is looking for a home without small dogs. Piper will be ready to go to her new home after she is spayed on 1/24/2017, however, we are accepting inquiries and applications now.

To meet this dog, please visit our website to fill out an adoption application. Our volunteers will review and get back to you as soon as possible. Our Adoption Application can be found online at the following link: www.betterdaysanimalleague.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Piper, a Chambersburg Plott Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Plott Hound for sale in Chambersburg, or seeking a Plott Hound dog from a breeder in Chambersburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chambersburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chambersburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Plott Hound breeders who help with Plott Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chambersburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
