Hellllloooo!  My name is Harvest!  I'm a young lady from the eastern shore of Virginia and I'm looking for a great new place to call home!  I'm not sure how I ended up looking for a home at 1 year old but I'm really excited about the possibilities. My ideal home would be with an experienced dog owner in a quiet and calm household that can provide me with the stability and routine I crave.

I'm a young dog and out of the true puppy stage, but I could use a training, a lot of exercise, and doggie socialization (preferably a dog park - because I LOVE other dogs!).  I'm not sure how I feel about kiddos and kitties... I'm can be tested though - just ask! If you are interested in me, please fill out an application and send it to my Adoption Coordinator - she's the best!

Harvest is a very shy little girl, and needs to go to a home with a second dog to show her the ropes and teach her to be the happy confident dog that she can be. If you have a second dog, she could be the perfect pup for your furry family!

Like most shelter dogs, Harvest may need a refresher on housetraining. She is likely crate trained.

The adoption fee for this dog is $350, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Emily Jagdmann at!

About Lucky Dog Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Lucky Dog Animal Rescue is a group of highly motivated and highly dedicated volunteers. We spend countless hours making sure that wonderful dogs find loving forever homes. We don't do it for money -- we do it for the joy a dog can bring to its new family; we do it for our love of animals; and we do it to save lives!

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our adoption events are held each weekend. A schedule of times and locations can be found at

Our Adoption Process...

The adoption process begins when you submit an adoption application either online or at an adoption event. The individual responsible for the dog you are interested in adopting - a position we call the “adoption coordinator” - will then set up a time to discuss your application over the telephone. The adoption coordinator will check your vet reference to make sure all current and past pets were kept up-to-date with their shots and medical care. The adoption coordinator will also set up a home visit with one of our trained volunteers. That individual will come to your home to ensure that it is a safe environment, to confirm that everyone in the home is on board with adopting a dog, and to discuss any other questions you may have about dog adoption!
