My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adoption Pending. LADY BUG is a beautiful, young red and white Shepherd mix (possibly Red Heeler) female who was seen running around a motel in Paris, TN, for several days. A man from California who was staying at the motel wanted to see that she was safe before leaving the area. He did not want her to go to a shelter where she might be euthanized so he took her to a local vet who then contacted the rescue. Lady Bug is now safe and under our care. The vet estimates she is around one year of age and she weighs 44 pounds. She is vetted, vaccinated, spayed and will be microchipped. She tested positive for microfilaria and so she will is completing heartworm treatment to insure she will be heartworm free. Those who have met her say she is a sweet girl who is very calm, easy and gentle, loves to play, and lays down and rolls over for belly rubs. Sounds like Lady Bug is a Love Bug. If you live in another state, don't let that stand in your way. We will work to transport Lady Bug if it means she will have a good forever home. If you are another rescue group, we will waive the adoption fee but you can make a donation toward vetting at your discretion. The adoption fee will help our 501(c)3 non-profit, all-volunteer rescue to cover at least part of the cost of the veterinary care this dog has received.
