ENERGY LEVEL: MODERATE---HANDLER: NOVICE---GROOMING: LOW

Oakley is a 9 month old Shepherd mix and she still has a lot of puppy energy that needs to be harnessed. She is also very, very smart and already knows Sit and No. She also knows all about treats, toys and pet beds. in short, Oakley is a sweet girl with enormous potential!

Oakley is also good on a leash and great with other dogs. She does like feline friends but also likes the thrill of the chase, so supervision around cats is recommended. Oakley is a social girl and is accustomed to being an inside dog.

An ideal home for Oakley would be one where she is an involved member of the family, with lots of time to play and romp. Going on hikes or walks, running errands, etc. .. any opportunity to be around her people and show off her beauty and intelligence would be ideal for this beautiful girl!

Oakley's adoption fee is $100.00 which covers her wellness check, age appropriate vaccinations, rabies shot and spay surgery.
OAKLEY, Shepherd Mix has been shared from Shelter Exchange.

About Stephens County Humane Society

About Our Shelter...

We are a Humane Society and Rescue organization serving Stephens County, Oklahoma and it's communities. We work closely with local municipal animal control departments in providing shelter to abandoned, abused, and surrendered animals, and finding homes for as many adoptable pets as we possibly can. We stress spaying and neutering as the one key way to prevent unwanted puppies and kittens.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our Shelter is located at 714 Martin Luther King Ave., Duncan, Oklahoma 73533. Our current hours are:

Monday & Thursday : closed except for intakes
Tuesday & Friday : 12-6
Wednesday & Saturday: 12-4
Sunday: 12-2

We are closed all major Holidays

Our Adoption Process...

We use a simple adoption application/agreement. To complete the application process, we ask for reference letters from the adopting family's veterinarian and two character references. Adoption fees are $100.00 for dogs and $75.00 for cats. Fees include spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccination and age appropriate vaccinations.

We have 3 main requirements for our dog adoptions.
1- We require a fenced yard
2- If you rent, we require a letter from the landlord stating
pets are permitted in their residence.
3- If you have dogs currently, arrangements must be
made for a meet and greet to ensure all parties are
agreeable.
