Hi! I'm Phoenix! I'm looking for my new forever home! Yes, I'm a vision of beauty and a little sweetheart! I'm approx. 1 year old and approx. 45 pounds(3/18). I'm extremely sweet, loving, friendly and playful with the people I know and trust. I'm a little shy at first but warm up quickly with a few treats! You'll see my sweet and fun personality in my video. I play with other dogs around my size. I really love women and tend to shy away from men. I'm protective over my female person and will follow my person everywhere. I'm highly intelligent and learn quickly. I am almost too smart for my own good. I'm very treat motivated. I know how to sit and stay; for a few minutes anyway. I will blossom into the perfect dog quickly with the right person! I will need someone who will be my alpha. I'm house and leash trained. I go in my crate to eat. I love to sleep next to someone. I live for love! The more love and attention I get, the better! I'm a very affectionate girl! I also live to play! I'm energetic and will need daily exercise and would like to have a job to do. I would love to have a play buddy! I'd make a great agility dog, walking, jogging or hiking buddy. I love to play with toys and know how to play fetch. I'm great around a wheelchair. I'm also a great couch buddy. I'm happy to lie beside you or at your feet when you are still and I will be right on your heels to see what's going on when you are up and about. I'm ready to learn new things and finally live the good life I so richly deserve! I'd love to be an exciting addition to your wonderful life! I'll provide the unconditional love and you can provide the safe and loving home! Belly rubs are a must!

This pet has a short video available to watch on our YouTube channel, http://www.youtube.com/user/CCR923/videos to give adopters a better idea of the pets personality and true size. Just copy/paste the link into your address bar, and look for the name of the pet you are interested in.
All pets come with up-to-date vaccines, deworming, microchip, and health certificate from veterinarian within 48-72 hrs of transport. Adults are also sterilized and heartworm tested prior to placement. For more information/application visit our website carolinacaninerescuenc.com TRANSPORTATION TO THE NORTHEAST IS AVAILABLE. All pets come from NC/VA (our euthanasia rate is approx 85%) and must be quarantined (to ensure health) prior to leaving the state. We go ahead and post them in hopes of them having a home ready and waiting for them to go, once their quarantine period is over. We also adopt into Canada. FAST, AFFORDABLE TRANSPORTATION IS AVAILABLE if needed along the eastern United States, SO PLEASE DON'T LET DISTANCE STOP YOU FROM ADOPTING!

About Carolina Canine Rescue Williamsport MD

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a small  nonprofit  group.  We rely only on our adoption fees to survive. We have been rescuing, vetting, and rehabilitating dogs and puppies  since 2009.  We take  in dogs and puppies  from our county  kill shelter as well as abandoned and injured dogs and puppies, regardless  of  their age or any health issues.  We do not turn any away due to health issues. We have taken in dogs with hearworms, mange, physical handicaps, injuries, severe malnutrition, etc. You name it, we've probably seen it! We get these pooches back to good health then begin our search for just the right home for that pet! We also  assist  individuals  in rehoming  their  pets if needed. One advantage we have over other rescues is that two of our volunteers are in wheelchairs, so many of our pooches are already used to being around individuals with special needs!

Donate to Our Rescue Group...

Any monetary donations are greatly appreciated and go toward vet bills and dog food!  Donations may be made by mail or paypal to awsurry@gmail.com   Our website also has a paypal donate button on the homepage. All donations  are tax deductible!

Come Meet Our Pets...

We hold adoption events at various pet stores during the warmer months.

Our Adoption Process...

We do require  an adoption  application  and an adoption  contract,  which can be  found  on our website  at  carolinacaninerescuenc.com   Adoption  fees vary. You must be at least 20 yrs. of age to apply.

All of our available  pets are rescued  from NC and VA where the county animal shelters euthanize up to 100% of the animals.  Many of the southern county shelters still euthanize with the gas chamber and by heart stick.

Each of our pets are quarantined  for a minimum of 2 weeks before going to their new home to ensure health.  Each pet is checked by our veterinarian  and receives a certificate  of health for travel and is microchipped.  All pets are given their age appropriate  vaccinations and dewormed.  Pets over 6 months of age are sterilized  and heartworm  checked.  Veterinary  records  accompany each pet.  (Our pets may be posted in more than one location  in an effort  to maximize exposure  so we can get these fur babies adopted to make room for those pets waiting  to be saved!)  If for some reason  your adoption isn't working  out within the first 2 weeks, our rescue will take the pet back and refund  your  adoption  fee.  (We do make every effort  to make sure the pet is a good match for your  home before  leaving the rescue, including speaking with the foster and watching their videos on our YouTube  channel CCR923.)  All of our pets are in foster  homes.  We do not have a facility.
