Facts about Mimsy

  • Breed: Calico
  • Color: Black & White Or Tuxedo
  • Age: Kitten
  • Sex: Female
  • Hair: Short
What could be more precious than an orphan kitty? Mimsy was found in a vacant lot when a passerby heard her cries. She was only five weeks old, all skin and bone and had a badly infected eye. With prompt veterinary attention, daily medication and lots of TLC, she is now a beautiful, healthy kitten with a silky semi-long hair coat, bright eyes and an adorable white stripe down her nose. Mimsy is very playful, curious and full of energy. She has a hearty appetite and demands to be fed, then wants to be held and cuddled so she can fall asleep in your arms. This delightful little girl will purr her way into your heart!
Mimsie was born Beginning of October 2016. She is up to date with shots, spayed/neutered, negative for FIV / FELV, and microchipped. Currently in the care of the Staten Island Council for Animal Welfare--he/she can be seen in his/her foster home by appointment.

About Staten Island Council for Animal Welfare

About Our Rescue Group...

Staten Island Council for Animal Welfare (SICAW) is a non-profit tax exempt organization founded in 1972 dedicated to the rescue, care and placement of stray and abandoned animals. Volunteer members rescue homeless animals roaming the streets, tend to their needs and place them in good homes. All pets are examined by Veterinarians, receive protective inoculations, necessary blood work, are spayed/neutered and are microchipped.
In 1996, SICAW established its own low cost spay/neuter program, Neuter Network. Each year millions of healthy dogs and cats are euthanized or abandoned, falling victim to hunger, disease and cruelty. This low cost program helps put an end to the misery of pet overpopulation. SICAW is also committed to furthering the education of the public about the importance of spaying/neutering and proper pet care.
All SICAW work is done by volunteers and monies received through contributions, membership and fundraising activities are used for animal care and services, advertising, printing and other expenses of administration.
