My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet little Felicity is a long haired dachshund mix. She is approx 1 year old and 15 lbs. She is very timid and shy around a lot of dogs and takes a day or so to settle in. Her fosters say she is just adorable and loves to curl up next to them on the couch and gets lots of TLC. She seems to be fairly well house trained and does well on a leash. She would be better in a home with no young children as she is timid, but is going to make a great companion. She has a beautiful coat and just a precious face, a really nice dog. She did test positive for heart worms when we first rescued her and she was treated with the required series of injections, and she has also been started on a monthly heart worm preventative

The total adoption cost of $525 includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration . The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. All our dogs are in foster care, there is no physical shelter. Some have not yet arrived in PA. Our application is online at http://houstonshaggydogrescue.org/application-process/
