Baxter is a young brush coat male that lost his home after the holidays. He has a tendency to be a door dasher so everyone in the home will need to be a bit careful till he gets settled in.
He is very unsure in new environments and clearly did not get to spend much time outside of the home. He rides great in the car and jumps right in! He is terrible on leash but is responding quickly to correction but this is a pretty strong boy that would really benefit from some basic obedience training!
He is a very typical shar pei and is not a fan of water in general and especially baths. There is zero chance this guy will be swimming in your pool.
He is good with other dogs. He has had zero house breaking issues and quickly picked up using a dog door. We do think he would be best in a home that is active and will commit to giving this guy a daily walk or at a minimum another dog that he can play with! He loves toys and will even share with other dogs.
He has been around cats. He does have a tendency to want to chase the cats but so far has showed no aggression. Would be best if the home has cats to make sure the cats are used to being around dogs.
If you are looking for a gorgeous young boy to love you unconditionally this is your guy! He is fully vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. Available at www.peipeople.com
