My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hank is an incredibly cute ball of cottony fur that climbs into your heart (and lap) with a wag and a lick. At 4 - 5 years old and 19 lbs (such a perfect age and size - old enough to have great manners but young enough to have many, many years to come along with his family on great adventures). Hank is every bit the engaging guy...fun and active....but at the same time he is a very well-behaved pup who is not unnecessarily vocal - he expresses himself with his wagging tail and excited kisses.

Hank's Texas foster mom had the following to say about this very sweet guy:
Hank Williams, Jr (or Hank to us) is 4 - 5 yrs old and 19 lbs. While Hank has never been around very small children, he's such a sweet-tempered and lovely dog, I know he would be awesome with children. There couldn't be a better choice of dogs to teach a young child the wonders of a doggy best friend. Hank is patient, kind and very loyal to his family. It took no time at all for my entire family to fall in love with sweet "Hankie".
Hank is both house and crate trained. He's very clean about himself and very respectful of his home. Hank is currently living with my dog who is the same size as himself. They're great together and have a blast. Both have a ton of fun with cats..never hurting them but enjoying the fun of the chase.
Hank is filled with positive energy and is a true lover of life. He loves to jog with his person, go on long walks, car rides (so much fun for Hank!), playing catch (sometimes he gets so excited that he forgets to bring the ball back), and at the end of the day sleeping with his owner is nirvana for dear Hankie.
He does need a bit of work with carrying out commands but seems to understand everything you say to him. Hank has made so much progress, it's clear that he's super-smart and loves to please those that are close to him.

At this early point in Hank's development, he loves everyone..be it human or canine. We want to nurture this positive vision of the world by matching Hank to a family who expresses their devotion for him in many different ways. We'd like him to attend positive reinforcement group obedience group classes to be the very best dog he's capable of being. Right now, Hank is a virtually blank slate who will soak up positive feedback with every effort to be the best behaved guy around.

Hank is a lightly-shedding guy and will therefore require periodic baths/brushing and a commitment to great nutrition to keep his coat cottony-soft and shiny.

Hank will arrive on transport in Boulder on Friday 1/13/17. Applications are currently being accepted and can be found at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/. If interested in this sweet and silly Terrier, please fill out and return to farfelsapps@gmail.com or fax to 303-443-7730.
