Simon the Kisser's Story...
Simon and his sister and two brothers came to CHS from a local shelter when they were only a couple of weeks old and needed to be bottle fed. He has been raised with dogs of all sizes and personalities and two adult cats. Simon is very playful, but when he isn't running NASCAR races around the living room with his brother Sampson he is purring and giving kisses in his foster mom's arms. He loves strings and anything that can be batted around the floor. He is use to playing with his brother, so his new family will need to have an "outlet" for him. Another playful cat or even a gentle dog would be ideal. No other animals? Consider adopting Sampson, too. Contact us about pair adoption discounts. We are looking for a home where he will stay indoors and showered with toys, scratching posts, cat trees and best of all...lots of love and kisses.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Simon the Kisser, a Coppell Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Coppell, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Coppell.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Coppell already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Coppell breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Coppell paves the way for another one to be saved.
