Caitlin is a female toy/miniature Poodle approximately 5 years old. She is a petite, tiny little thing weighing only 8 pounds full grown. Caitlin has soft, white curls that are non-shedding. She has been professionally groomed and currently has a very short haircut due to neglect and matting of her beautiful coat. It should grow back full and long in no time. Caitlin is a lap dog and a cuddler. She is very loyal and will bond closely to one or two people. She is always in the same room, wherever you are, and although not demanding, she loves to be wherever her people are. She adores soft blankets and will roll around in them on her back making delightful puppy noises of pure joy. Her little personality is very sweet and funny. Caitlin is excellent with potty skills and is housebroken. She will go outside in the yard, but likes to have your company for comfort and support while she is outside. Caitlin will go on short walks with a harness and leash, but she gets frightened easily and will prefer being picked up if you are in crowded areas or if you meet a boisterous canine friend. Although Caitlin is excellent with other dogs, she does not need another dog in the household to feel secure and she is not playful with other dogs at all. She is a professional cuddler and is really only interested in snuggling with her people. Caitlin will thrive in a quieter, safe home where she can be pampered and fussed over. She is too small and delicate for children and would therefore not be suitable for a family with kids. Caitlin was rescued from a very high-volume/high-kill shelter where she was brought in stray. She was extremely neglected, skinny, and had a dirty, matted hair coat. In addition, there is no question that Caitlin has been terribly abused. She was petrified when we first rescued her and would flinch and shake at the slightest touch. Even our groomers commented on the obvious fact that someone has hit her and been mean to her. Caitlin has gotten comfortable with consistent care and love, is much more trusting now. She will show great delight when snuggling and cuddling with those people that she trusts. Her sweet, animated little personality is blooming and when its allowed to shine, she is simply delightful. You will fall head over heels in love with Caitlin, just as we have. This darling, tiny little dog deserves a better life and a loving home. She is very affectionate and wants to please. Caitlin is healthy and ready for her new forever home today!
Caitlin’s adoption donation is $425 (*TAX DEDUCTABLE). She has been SPAYED, MICROCHIPPED, VACCINATED, DEWORMED, DEFLEAED and PROFESSIONALLY GROOMED. Also included is her collar with ID, harness, leash, folder with all of her records, a great PETCO coupon book, and a fun goodie bag with toys, etc.
