My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello and good afternoon everyone my name is #leonardobpff you can call me Leo for short...I am the newest member of the BarkyPinesAnimalRescueSanctuary family...it's a pleasure to meet you...I would like to share my story with you....well a few weeks back...I was found wandering around the streets...lost and all alone...I was scared...hungry...and tired...until a kind stranger picked me up...and brought me to Animal-Care-Control-Palm Beach to see if anyone was looking for me...well as it turned out...without a collar and tags...or a microchip...they had no idea who I belonged to....sooo that kind stranger...wished me luck...and went home...I was examined by the doctor...had my picture taken...and settled in a crate...well I had no idea what was gonna happen to me...the doctor was saying that I walk a little wobbly...and I might have some sort of disorder...I didn't know at that point what would become of me...until I found out...that a rescue request went out...and can you guess who it was that answered that call? Yup it was aunt Liz...she said yes she could and yes she would...and today...she and her sister aunt Mary...came to ACC and signed the papers...and I had such a warm feeling in my heart...a kind of knowing...that these two women...will take excellent care of me...and whatever maybe wrong...they will see that I get better...and find a wonderful home one day...and once all the documents were taken care of...they carried me outside...and I sat on aunt Mary's lap...and I wasn't afraid at all...in fact it was nice...I felt comfy with them right away...we drove off to the country..and I got my first glimpse of Barky Pines...I heard the birds chirping...and squirrels running up the trees...and I thought...today is my lucky day...they brought me inside the house to my own room and a warm cozy bed a big bowl of water...and some yummy food...I was a mess when I got here...my hair had knots all over...and then I met uncle Steve...he was so loving and gentle too...he told me not to worry...I was safe here...and I believed him...he has that way about him too...he took some clippers...and gave me a little hair cut...whew I can actually see now...I am so grateful and thankful to have this opportunity...to get healthy and happy again...I'm about 5 years old...and I am a dachshund mix...and I am very very sweet...I will go to see their doggie doctor for a check up...and maybe a little grooming as well...I hope to meet a wonderful family someday...a family who won't let me wander off...a family to love me forever and ever...well that's it for now...gotta go finish my supper...thank you for caring...and especially...for sharing...your friend Leo...woof woof
